4/7
The story of this week is immense biography burnout. Back to regularly scheduled programming next week.
Aristotle in 90 Minutes by Paul Strathern
I didn’t study classical philosophy in college. Last week’s frugality book mentioned Aristotle quite a bit, and Jean Vanier, someone I admire, did his PhD thesis on Aristotle.
Ethics in the Real World: 82 Brief Essays on Things that Matter by Peter Singer
Holidays on Ice by David Sedaris
The Art of War by Sun Tzu (tranlsation by Thomas Cleary)
Woman of Color by LaTonya Yvette
I bought this (vs my normal use of the library) and plan to see her speak in Brooklyn in the next month. My eldest daughter was mesmerized by the children in the book (who look like her, she says) and asked if we could please be friends with them.
