Leonardo da Vinci by Walter Isaacson

I saw the Da Vinci exhibit at the Met a couple years ago, and remember being slightly taken aback by the pure diversity of his drawings. That was only the start. This (sometimes long) book details his life, humor and evolving curiosities.

Truth: I had to skip through some of the pages about Da Vinci’s cadaver explorations. Once he got to taking the skin off of faces to watch which muscles were involved in smiling…I was out. Blame it on the new mother hormones.
