The Great Believers by Rebecca Makkai

I dove into this and loved it. I started this as an audiobook but then went back and reread it via Kindle because I just couldn’t grasp the date changes.

The comparisons of the lost generation of WWI and the generation lost to AIDS during the 1970s and 1980s (before the good drugs came out) were beautiful and thorough. I’ve read several nonfiction books that intersected here due, but Yale’s evolution brought the esoteric facts home.
